Parmesan Garlic Bacon Cheeseburger Lasagna

  • Author: Carina James
  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Description

This is the ultimate comfort food fusion! Parmesan Garlic Bacon Cheeseburger Lasagna combines the hearty flavors of a cheeseburger—savory ground beef, smoky bacon, and tangy ranch—with the layered structure of classic lasagna. You will love the creamy, cheesy texture and the rich, balanced flavor in this family favorite casserole.

Ingredients

For the Lasagna Layers

    • Lasagna Noodles: 1 box (about 12-15 noodles)
    • Ground Beef: 1.5 lbs (or ground turkey/chicken)
    • Bacon: 8 slices, cooked and crumbled
    • Marinara Sauce: 24 oz jar (high-quality)
    • Mozzarella Cheese: 3 cups, shredded

For the Meat Sauce Flavor

    • Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
    • Salt and Pepper: to taste

For the Bacon Ranch Cream Sauce

  • Ranch Dressing: 1 cup
  • Parmesan Cheese: 1/2 cup, grated

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lasagna Noodles:

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package directions until they are perfectly al dente. Drain them and lay them flat on a piece of parchment paper or a clean kitchen towel to prevent them from sticking together as they cool.

  2. Make the Meat Sauce:

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Break the meat into small pieces as it cooks. Once browned, drain any excess fat from the skillet. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it is fragrant (about 1 minute), making sure not to burn it.

Stir in the marinara sauce, along with salt and pepper to taste. Let the meat sauce simmer gently for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully. Set the finished meat sauce aside.

  3. Whip Up the Bacon Ranch Sauce:

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ranch dressing, the grated Parmesan cheese, and your crumbled bacon pieces. Mix all these components until they are thoroughly incorporated and create a smooth, creamy sauce. This mixture will be spread over the meat layers.

  4. Layer the Lasagna:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread a thin layer of the prepared meat sauce over the bottom of your baking dish to prevent the noodles from sticking to the glass.

  5. Assemble the Casserole:

Place a layer of cooked noodles over the sauce, slightly overlapping them. Spread half of the remaining meat sauce evenly over the noodles. Next, spoon half of your creamy bacon ranch sauce over the meat layer, spreading it out as evenly as you can.

Sprinkle one-third of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the ranch mixture. Repeat the layering process once more: noodles, the remaining meat sauce, the remaining bacon ranch sauce, and another one-third of the mozzarella cheese.

  6. Finish and Bake:

Add a final top layer of noodles. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce (if you have any remaining) over the top, then cover generously with the remaining mozzarella cheese. Cover your baking dish tightly with aluminum foil to trap the moisture.

Bake the lasagna for 30 minutes. Carefully remove the foil and continue to bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese on top is golden brown and bubbly.

  7. Rest and Serve:

Remove the completed lasagna from the oven and let it rest for a full 5 minutes before you attempt to slice it. This resting time is essential as it allows the layers to fully set, ensuring clean and tidy servings. Garnish each slice with a little fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Make-Ahead Tip: You can completely assemble the lasagna up to 24 hours in advance. Wrap it tightly and refrigerate. Add 10-15 minutes to the initial covered baking time if baking straight from the refrigerator.

Customization: Try adding a layer of sautéed mushrooms or finely diced onions to the meat sauce for an extra boost of vegetable flavor.
