Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups chopped pecans (toasted)
- 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat that oven to 350°F and grease up a 9×13 baking dish.
- In a big ol’ bowl, mix both the sugars with the vegetable oil and eggs until smooth and creamy.
- Now stir in that vanilla. Mmm!
- Toss in the self-rising flour and salt, and keep mixing until it’s all combined.
- Last but not least, fold in those delicious toasted pecans by hand until they’re evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into your greased baking dish and spread it out nice and even-like.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350°F until golden brown. Use a toothpick to make sure the center is fully baked.
- Once out of the oven, let it sit for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
- Now dig in! This is amazing on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
