  • 1 box (18-20 oz) brownie mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter for a richer taste)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, but adds great flavor)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional, for extra chocolatey goodness)

Instructions

  1. STEP 1: PREHEAT THE OVEN

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. STEP 2: MAKE THE DOUGH

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, oil, flour, and vanilla extract. Stir until the dough comes together—it will be thicker than brownie batter but softer than traditional cookie dough. Gently fold in the chocolate chips (if using).

  3. STEP 3: SCOOP & SHAPE THE COOKIES

    Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet. Space them 2 inches apart, as they will spread slightly.

  4. STEP 4: BAKE THE COOKIES

    Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are slightly soft. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra fudgy cookies, slightly underbake them and let them firm up as they cool.

For crispier edges, bake for an extra 1-2 minutes.

Chill the dough for 20 minutes before baking if you want thicker cookies.
